Does anyone know what happened exactly to Dez Willingham?? it happened so quick it was hard to tell.. it looked like something w/ his knee.. Does anyone know the severity either??

Dislocated his kneecap. It was popped back into place in the locker room and he's day to day.

JJ said on the post-game show that they expected Willingham to only need a couple of days to recover and then he'd be back... my guess is that he is doubtful for Saturday even if he is feeling better... we are deep in the guard rotation so their is no reason to rush or risk his return....

Willingham out for FIU game

UNT head coach Johnny Jones confirmed today that senior guard Dez Willingham will not play against Florida International on Saturday at the Super Pit. Willingham dislocated his left kneecap, but should be back next week. Willingham's kneecap slid right back into place after being dislocated. He was at practice today and spent the early part of afternoon on a stationary bike before heading to the locker room for treatment.

Junior Collin Dennis will return to the starting lineup to replace Willingham. Dennis has started six games this season and is coming off one of his best games of the season in an upset win over South Alabama.

Post your thoughts on the blog. Can UNT get by without Willingham?
