DENTON (1/29/08) - The game time for the North Texas women's basketball game versus Florida International on Saturday, Feb. 2 has been moved up to 4:35 pm due to television purposes. The Mean Green's game was orginally slated for 5 pm.

The men's game will follow at 7:05 pm. Both games will be aired on ESPN Regional.

One of the few games we have to miss!!! We'll be in Abilene for my mother's 80th birthday Saturday. We will be there for Thursday night's game, though.

What channel is ESPN regional on in Denton?

It doesn't make any difference. If you live in the Metroplex and want to see the game, go to the SuperPit.

Nice Reply GreenBat... :clapping: Now, that being said I know not everyone can attend all the games even when they would like to do so. I just want everyone to support the MEAN GREEN in the best way they can...GO MEAN GREEN...see you at the game Thursday night!

I appreciate all of the Pats on the back, but I wasn't trying to be a smartass for once. I was just saying that if you want to see the game. Go, don't watch it on TV.

      PAC is back

      Just as I like to use "North Texas" as our name and never "UNT". But there are hundreds of teams with Eagles as a mascot. Mean Green is unique and ours alone (marketing opportunity). .......................... As for the PAC and revenue I found this article that mentions the PAC-2 gained $50 mil from the Rose Bowl this year and will get another $50 mil next year... "However, to add a bit more salt to Oregon's wound, a couple of former conference foes are receiving a big payday from the Rose Bowl.       I wouldn't necessarily say that we won't play UNT again in football. SMU has played UNT a ton throughout its history. Far more than any other regional schools in the P4. That said, I doubt we will ever play in Denton again.

      Nice Article: Maintaining Success

      Hodge was a Juco HC before joining UNT as an assistant. He brought in the defensive game planning and was used to having to recruit and re-roster the majority of his teams each year. It's always been like that at Juco level and is similar now at D1 level with players leaving for NIL and more playing time. But some older coaches were used to developing their own players for 4-5 years. Similar to FBS football, some coaches are having trouble adapting to the new era of recruiting a new roster each season. If Ross keeps us winning and gaining hardware we he will attract poachers for his services at a bigger program, like McCasland did.
