I looked at the DCTF Winter Edition today at Hastings.

It's $6.95, and I don't think this thing is going to sell very well. For one thing....in the write-ups...they talk about recruiting commitments as if they are already on their prospective teams.

I think if they are going to do a Winter Edition....I think they should publish after signing date. To do speculative reporting (as they do in this)...does very little for me.

Anyway, I love DCTF...but I didn't think this thing is worth $6.95

Anyone else looked at it...or bought it?

If SUMG was being paid by the word I'm sure that he would write out Dave Campbell's Texas Football. Using acronyms saves time and probably saves Harry some money.

Why does everyone use acronyms on this damn forum? Peoples initials, newspapers, magazines, everything. WHY????

      That is very subjective. Boise State or UNLV probably will get the G5 spot in the playoff over a one loss Army team. Louisville, SMU, Houston, Rutgers and Cincinnati left conference for greener pastures. So I don’t know who anointed the AAC as 5th, but the playoff committee isn’t listening to them. Army, a team brand new to the conference that came into the conference and dominated. They were independent juggernauts last year at 6-6 🙄. AAC is viewed as better than the MAC, CUSA and Sun Belt. But we certainly won’t be viewed as better than the reconstructed PAC 12 and right now it doesn’t look like we are viewed better than the current MWC.

      Football at The Dat next wrekend

      Don't if y'all know this or not.....but the last two years we've had Texas high school football games played in Louisiana. Both years the games have been at Turpin Stadium in Natchitoches. As a matter of fact, this year they hosted two games on the same day. (Daingerfield versus Newton, and Texarkana versus Port Neches Grove). Both games were last Friday.
