if you want to be mentioned with the greats, you gotta play great. you don't take sacks when being chased and then ground the ball when no one is around you.

all around stinker by the cowboys but who didn't see this coming.

i won't say pathetic, but close to it.

Disciplined ball is a beautiful thing to watch!

That is what would peeeisss me off about dd's teams and wade's warriors - yea right!

This cowboy team was not serious enough for my liking and if they don't change their approach next year, we will be right back here looking at another missed opportunity.

cowboys could have lost to the giants or packers - again, the fake 13-3.

What a Troy job.

18 for 36 and around 200 yards. granted there were some drops but check out Brady's or Favre's numbers for the weekend.

it wasn't romo's fault the cowboys lost.

but he didn't lead his team to victory either.

and great quarterbacks aren't remembered because it wasn't their fault their team lost.

If the rest of the team had played as well as Romo and Barber, this game would have been an easy win for the 'boys.

I think meanrob was speaking in regards to THE GREATS, as in those who play great in clutch time such as during the win-or-go-home playoffs. Something such as Montana, Staubach, Bradshaw, Aikman or even a Tom Brady going 26 of 28 today. Romo played well today, but he outright missed two opportunities for TD's in close by throwing late. He completely missed a wide open Owens across the middle at the 10 yard line. Then the bone head decision to take the sacks didn't help. But I think great coaching also plays a role here. I mean, at 3rd and 20 with 26 seconds left from the NY 35 and following your final timeout, who calls to throw the ball to the endzone? And here in the 17th game of the season and we are getting false start penalties, in our house? Got at least one "delay of game" penalty, at least one "too many men on the field" penalties and at least one "not enough men on the LOS"? This was all coaching and preparation that should not be happening at this point in the seaoson, and they all came at very critical times. We gave NY two critical give-me 1st downs that they scored on, one for being off sides?

This team and their coaches looked like they were not prepared today.

1. Ware's offside penalty to keep the Giants 1st drive going resulting in a TD.

2. 20 play drive lasting almost the entire 2nd quarter, and the defense gives up a last minute drive to tie.

3. Allowing about 8 yards a rush on first down consistently.

4. Owen's drops.

5. Crayton's drops.

6. Poor tackling on special teams resulting in long returns, especially the one by McQuarters.

7. Romo throwing the ball to then endzone about three times, going for the home run, when a 10 yard pickup would be the smart thing to look for.

8. Too many bad penalties.

9. Roy Williams is slow.

10. Romo's two sacks where he had time and was in position to throw it away.

11. Romo's intential grounding when he wasn't pressured, could have waited longer for a receiver to come open or could have run with it.

12. The coaches not sticking to what worked in the first half and abandoning the run in the second half.

13. As TO said, and I don't agree with him much, in the post game news conference, this was a team loss.

14. Beating any team three times in one year is tough, but Dallas has much more talent than NY. NY had a great game plan and were prepared, something the Cowboys didn't seem to have.

How many years did Elway play before he won a Super Bowl.??

How about Dan Marino. how many years...?

There were a lot of things that went wrong today.... starting with the Toomer TD in first few min... and that gave them the margin of victory...

A whole lot of players could have won this by eliminating ONE mistake they made. The QB gets far too much credit and too much blame..

The entire team has looked rather poor since Thanksgiving...Three losses and two wins... by one point over Detroit and 7 points over weak Carolina.
