Job Description Under direct supervision of the Head Football Coach, the

Assistant Football Coach will be responsible for providing assistance with activities associated with the program and student-athletes, including recruitment, monitoring academic performance and social development, maintaining discipline and development programs, fund-raising activities, coordinating summer camps, pre- and- post conditioning, practice and games.

The successful candidate(s) will also be responsible for assisting the head football coach in directing all aspects of the football program within University of North Texas, the Sun Belt Conference and NCAA rules & regulations.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two (2) years experience combined coaching at the NFL, NCAA, or high school level required.

Must have a valid Texas driver's license (or ability to obtain) and good driving record.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two (2) years experience combined coaching at the NFL, NCAA, or high school level required.

Please, please...please let them drop this from the qualifications. Also, please add more than two years onto the experience factor. Why can't the minimum be 10 years at the NFL or NCAA Division I level be the requirement?

Anyway, I think Dodge and the athletic department learned their lesson on this in 2007...or did they? We'll soon see. The "minimum of two years" and "or high school" seem to set the bar pretty low.

Job Description Assistant Athletic Director/Development. This is a fund-raising position.

This position will be responsible for fund raising as part of capital campaigns as well as other initiatives associated with athletic development. This position will also participate in athletic events and game-day operations (as well as miscellaneous other duties as assigned); exercise a superior level of customer service; maintain solicitation and correspondence related to the annual fund and capital campaign.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, master's preferred.

Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics (fundraising, marketing, etc) is required.

Valid Texas driver's license with good driving record, and the ability to travel periodically.

Preferred Qualifications The successful applicant will possess general knowledge of the development field; the ability to solicit and cultivate donors and prospects, excellent oral and written communication skills; advanced computer skills.

If NT gets the two coaches I believe they will hire....don't worry about qualifications. I trust Dodge to hire quality coaches.
