If Coach Dodge is a competent manager, all he has to do is look at how successful DeLoach was in his previous tenure at North Texas, and then the rest should be easy.

Don't all competent CEO's do the same thing?

For whatever reason, this coaching staff doesn't like to put much out in terms of who they are looking at or hiring, or even leaving for that matter. I still say there is very good chane that DeLoach comes here.

What about Peveto from LSU? Special teams/linebackers coach. The connection: Peveto is from Orangefield, a stone's throw from Dodge's Port Arthur.

What I find intriguing is the fact that jobs must be posted for 10 days before anyone can be hired. (I believe Silver Eagle posted that fact in another thread.) Anyway, if you venture to the job listings on the NT site you'll see one open position for Asst. Coach that was posted on 1-3-08. So does that mean LaCroix is NOT being replaced and another asst. coach (read Petersen) picks up CB duties? Or does that mean we've hired a CB coach but are waiting to announce along with our new DC announcement? Or is a matter of finding our DC and once hired we search for a new CB coach with the DC leading the charge?

Thoughts?
