I have no idea. I initially thought it was going to have something to do with a possible Greggo return but now I seriously doubt it. After speculation, I'm not expecting it to meet my expectations but we'll see.

Until Greggo shows up on some other station, and even then, we probably will never really know what happened. I am curious to see if they change the lineup at all though.

Ummm...Greggo started using again...he's missed extended time due to his drug use in the past (see the "I want to apologize to all my fans" drop). Greggo went into rehab following one of the strangest live spots ever...Greggo rolled (ha, didn't even mean that...but funny) in about 30 minutes late, was incoherant on the air and left mid-show. Had this been the first, second or even third time he had lapsed we would still be hearing him (and those sweet, sweet drops) on the air, however these are recurring incidents and it seems he burned his bridges with both Cumulus and even his Hardline mates who seemingly have found it harder and harder to defend Greggo's actions.

The Hardline will never be the same. Say what you want about Greggo's ability as a broadcaster, or his sports knowledge, or even his comprehenssion of the english language...but the Hardline had incredible chemistry and has amassed the most loyal following (myself included) of any radio program in the country...including Stern.

My guess is that Kevin Scott comes on in a full-time capacity within a few months...Corby and Danny continue in their expanded roles; this sets up the most logical and easiest transition for when Mike decides to call it quits.

They will announce that the ashes from Norm's fart pillow have reformed and are currently starring as the Monster in the upcoming film Cloverfield. Don't qupte me on it... just a hunch

ps. Is there a "Pepper Theft" or did he just mispronounce his co-workers MUCH self-promoted band?

The 5:10 segment will be about the Greggo situation...seems only right that the Hardline discuss it anyways.

"Pepper Theft" is board-op Michael Gruber (Grubes) band. The only music Grubes know and/or listens to is the Red Hot Chili Peppers...so "Pepper Theft" is a RHCP cover band...the theft of course in tribute to Mike Rhyner's Petty Theft.

I wish someone OTHER than the Hardline would take about Greggo...they get too defensive and crabby. I want the straight dope. No pun intended.

I think they've mentioned how many times he relapsed when they said he wasn't coming back. Mike said something like "Everyone wants us to give him a second chance but this is more like a fourth or fifth chance."

I heard that they were purposefully inflating the importance of both this morning and this afternoon's announcement to keep people from checking out what is new on ESPN radio, namely the Michael Irvin show.

I was almost certain that drop was in reference to Greggo's first unexplainable absence from the Hardline...but I'll take your word about the nudie bar fight. The best source on this situation has been Richie Whitt in the Dallas Obserever's Un-Fair Park Blog.

My apologies...I meant, "snow monkeys".

Honestly...I think it could be very possible that Greggo could come back...strictly based on the fact that the avg. P1 has been calling for mutiny based on how the whole situation was handled. ESPN has Michael Irvin now...and I think that scares the Catman of the Americas.

Even though he's totally out of it all of the time and doesn't really add anything, I would LOVE it if he came back just for the awkward factor. That's what I miss about Followill/Ortegal covering the Mavs. I love awkward tension.
