Sorry if I should have posted this in the Non-UNT Sports spot, tough choice, there.

Who do you think will take the NFL Playoff games next week?

Will the Cowboys, at least for one game, overcome the recent Dallas Choke Curse?

Manning thinks they can take us at home...during the playoffs. If Romo and the lines are rocking, and we don't drop passes, I think Eli will be eating his own jock strap (Adam Sandler fans will get this reference).

I'm with you on the NFC. AFC though...I don't know. I still think somebody will take down the Pats, not sure if it will be the Jags though. And I think the Chargers/Colts game will be either really close, or one team will choke and it'll be a romp. Cowboys aside, I think that game will be the one to watch on Sunday.

Oh yeah...I forgot they're doing the Saturday games.

      I don't think Hayden did this. Perhaps you could provide some reference as I can't recall the term "mean green " applying to our team as a whole until the 2000's. Yes the eagle is our mascot and mean green is the nickname of our team. Also I believe Jim Hobney [sic] was also involved in the creation of the flying worm bet can't exactly remember how. Maybe you know.

      I agree with most all you say, but I don't think Coach has his team here yet. Everything is not yet fixed (ie defense). If he can elevate the Defensive play (ie new DC and bigger, better players) to match the Offense, then we will have something! Sorry, we are still a work in progress!

      This is a big game for Elf

      We have lost 4 of the last 5 against this program, 5-7 overall. UTSA has been playing FBS football since 2012. Since 2013, we have been in a conference with them. Through last season, they are 72-65. They've won 2 conference titles and have gone 1-4 in bowl games, while also being ranked. They've had three coaches. In the same category above, we are 63-71. No conference championships and have gone 1-6 in bowl games. We have had 4 head coaches. If we lose to them tonight, Morris will basically tell us that he just isn't going to be able to lift this program higher than it was when he took it over. UTSA in 2024 is not good. They're 4-5, with wins over Kennesaw State, Houston Christian, FAU, and (somehow) Memphis. Not counting having to sacrifice themselves to UT-Daddy, they've lost 4 games against peer programs, Texas State, ECU, Rice, and Tulsa. Maybe I'm wrong, but we should beat these guys, even on the road at a place that has been a house of horrors for us, if we have the right coach leading us. This is one of those games that will tell us in our hearts if we have someone worth a damn as the head coach or if he's no different than everyone else we always hire here.
