Ben Knox scored 8 points and blocked 6 shots in Grace Prep's 67-47 win over Bishop Dunne.

Another Grace Prep player, 6-4 Guard Nick Russell, is ranked #6 in the class of 09 by Texas Hoops. According to Rivals, Russell has offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor, Notre Dame, Minnesota and Washington State.

you know, we've had a lot of guys come through here that don't have an offensive inside game. i can live with that, i just hope that he is able to become an inside presence for us on the defensive side. the 6 blocks is what i like to see.if this kid can be a defensive inside presence, with who we have now, and either babb or Russell, this class and the last one could turn us into a march cinderella power.

Is there any chance that the Knox signing is a way to get an in with Russell? I've seen plenty of schools identify teammates, recruit the less heralded of the two and then land the blue chip as well. Just curious if Cooley or Bufurd or any close to recruiting have any knowledge of JJ and Russell talks. JJ has balked on this tactic before with the Hopkins twins...but this seems like a more reasonible risk.

I knew Russell was the better player but have never seen him play. I am so pissed because I had planned on attending this game (against Bishop Dunne) I thought the game was Saturday night but found out they played Friday night. My youngest son graduated from Bishop Dunne and it would have been a great opportunity to see them as well. I believe their tallest kid is 6-3.
