for some reason, the refs are not giving us calls when we drive to the basket and create contact.... Dennis got knocked to ground while he shot with no call....

I just saw the final stats.... man, was this comment above right on.... in a game this hotly contested with us driving to basket constantly, how does Troy go to the line 24 times and us 11 (for the entire game)!?! I'm not blaming this on the refs... we had opportunities to win, but didn't capitalize... but if you look at the stats, we lost in large part to free throws..... they of course out-rebounded us which contributed too...

I am Very, Very, Very disappointed, upset, angry... P.O. How do You take a 9-0 lead in ot and squander it. Two bad losses to teams we should have beat. What did JJ have to say at the post game show?

I think we should have won this game, but I also think it's a necessary reminder that we're not so far above everyone in the Belt that we are runaway favs on the road.

I trust JJ to pull the team through this. I want to go at least 50/50 on the road this year.

That a championship team must win on the road....

Did he mention they should know how to handle inbounding the ball against the full court press? We seem to have so many problems with the inbound pass...

I've decided our basketball team is the equivalent of the Troy football team. We win some out of conference games including a pretty big win against a big name opponenet, and then when we should get to conference and blow past some folks we stumble. Very frustrating losses to Denver and Troy.

Tough loss...2 L's in a row in conference...need a turn around quickly...I do not think Troy beat us in this one...I think UNT made too many mistakes down the stretch...what's with the inbounds pass "challenges"????? Basic stuff...basic stuff...you just have to win these games on the road...0-2 on the road in conference does not bode well at this point, but....it's a long way until it's over...get ready for some different attitudes when the team gets home...they should be mad and embarrassed the way they have played on the road...I think JJ will "fix" that attitude and things will get going in the right direction...they had better and soon! GO MEAN GREEN!

Tough loss, guys...go get 'em the next time out!

We lost this game for one reason...rebounding. We're the best rebounding team in the conference, yet we lost the total rebounding margin by 11 (54-43) and even more disturbing we got doubled up on the offensive glass (26-13)...hell...that means we almost lost the rebounding game on their end...Troy with 26 offensive rebounds, UNT with 30 defensive rebounds. Unexceptable

This isn't entirely unexpected for me.

Last season conference road record:

3-6

Conference Home record

7-2

My hopeful prediction was a 13-5 league mark. Now I'm hoping for 11-7 or 12-6.

This team will be fine, but considering we have 3 seniors I would have expected stronger performances from the team as a whole. I agree we need to win road games, especially to teams like denver and troy... troy, who had never beat us.
