I hate Eli more but this perfect season crap has been a beating, I don't want to see a perfect season unless it is the Cowboys.

At Halftime:

NY:21

NE:16

Go Giants!

GO COWBOYS!!!!

Given the opportunity, Eli will find a way to piss this game away. Its what he does. Key interceptions are what he does.

So true, but I am hoping the Football fairy has blessed Eli's sorry a$$ tonight.

Maybe this perfect season jive would be easier to listen to if the league officials, refs, Jim Nantz, and Phil Simms didn't have their mouths perpetually between Brady's waist and knees. Brady is with one woman after siring a son with another (illegitimacy isn't exactly smiled upon in today's culture, yet this is conveniently swept under the rug), their coach is a cheat and doesn't care that he got caught, and many of their defensive players come off as punks. I hope they get bounced from the playoffs, but 35 years between perfect teams is too long, and Roger Goodell wants this to happen in his first year and get a piece of the credit.

All that being said, they laid waste to every team that they came across. And some of them they down right embarrassed.

Brady's sex-scapades are embarrassing; except when measured by the standards of teh NFL (or any or professional sports league). We can start at Michael Vick and end this discussion at Barry Bonds (or Lawrence Taylor, or Andy Pettite, or Latrell Sprewell, or Jason Williams...)

As a life long Dolphins fan, I haven't needed a lot of reasons to hate New England. This 16-0 regular season has been tough to watch, especially since the Phish stunk up the joint.

What has been UNBEARABLE to watch is how the league and every TV commentator have been sucking up to the Pats. When the Dolphins went 17-0, they did it with backup QB Earl Morrall and they were underdogs going into the Super Bowl.

16-0 is very impressive, but the Pats haven't finished the Perfect Season yet.

Just sit back and appreciate history and greatness...New England is the sports capital of the U.S. right now - the BoSox will be on top of baseball for the rest of the century (God willing), the Celtics will actually finally make the NBA finals interesting (save for Dick Bevetta dishing out 20 assists in the last 3 games of the 06 Finals), and even the Bruins have a winning record (though they're still in 4th place in their own division).

The league and the networks would be "sucking up" to anytime about to go undefeated...they did it when the Colts threatened a few years back...its one hell of an accomplishment. As for Brady's personal life...his split with Bridgette was very messy and well-publicized and well before the pregnancy announcement. You think that kid is going to want for anything in his life? Brady will be there to help raise him...but to suggest that those two ought be together b/c they're having a kid is stupid...that kid would be so f'd up and angry at both parents.

Notice how the NFL used this game to sell the NFL Network- the interview with Goodell, the commercial with the "fan" commenting what a "good call" it was to allow the game on broadcast television... the problem is that those rather ingenious ploys were neutered by Bryant Gumbel's horrible calling of the game. You would think after two seasons of experience the guy would get even a little better.

I am hoping that they use this game to illustrate why he shouldn't ever be allowed in the booth again. They seriously need to money-whip someone to come over and replace him.

barring a kurt warner type ending to his career, I believe Tom Brady will go down as the greatest football player of all time.. (aka the Jordan of football).. He has all the credentials.. And i'm saying this as a Philadelphia Eagles fan, I'm not partial to New England at all

Washington could win the whole thing as well.

Rick

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, scary with Todd Collins at the helm.

Holy $hi+,

I can't believe my eyes. The ultimate Cowboy homer, saying that the Redskins could win the whole thing.

Rick just wanted you to know that the dark side embraces you.

Isn't Campbell going to be ready to play this week or next? I think Washington has its hands full with Seattle, who I would not be shocked to see make a run. They are the only team (not old QB) out of the NFC group that has done anything in the playoffs the past 3 years.
