Ex-brownwood Qb Kirby Freeman

I was reading Dave Campbell's Texas Football web site on

recruiting this morning. DCTF had a story on Kirby Freeman,

a high rated QB recruit from Brownwood HS, Brownwood TX.

Freeman signed with the Univ of Miami, and started the 2007

for the 'Canes. Now, suddenly, Freeman asked for his release

from Miami, was granted his release, and will transfer/enroll

at Baylor.

Humm, I wonder if Art Briles, the new Baylor HFC, was suprised

that Freeman suddenly wanted to transfer to Baylor?

I guess Freeman was "homesick" and wanted to come back

to central Texas.

Im not sure this kid will get to play at Baylor either... a 4-star duel threat STUD is following Briles over there, but it's good to see some of the state's talent come back home. It was frustrating hearing all players from Texas that play for ASU last night.

Now we a VERY set at the QB position, and not one peep about him coming to NT. Life is good!

No doubt that Dodge is set with Meager, Riley, Vizza, Phillips, Johnson, and Tune. (Assuming they all come back)

Hmm, wasn't it Freeman a couple of years ago that got a University of Miami tatoo to show he was committed to the "U"? I remember Larry Coker saying if they won the NC that year he'd follow suit and get one too.
