I've been watching the board since Wednesday, and no one has said that anyone has actually signed. Information, please.

Football: NEO teammates to transfer to UNT

North Texas head coach Todd Dodge saw a little of the Mean Green’s past — not to mention its future — in a pair of players he announced Thursday would transfer to UNT at the semester break.

Dodge said Hill reminds him of former UNT All-Sun Belt Conference safety Aaron Weathers, while Adams is the type of cornerback he hopes to recruit in the future because of his size and physical skills.

“Both Kylee and Adryan will be able to help us immediately,” Dodge said. “They will be aboard in three or four weeks. They were very impressive on their visits.”

Dodge said Hill and Adams would be UNT’s only midterm transfers.

Hill (5-10, 190) started at safety last season for NEO.

“What we saw in Kylee is that he is a tremendous playmaker and tackler,” Dodge said. “He brings a lot of the same skills that Aaron Weathers did.”

Hill played for the same high school coach as UNT’s all-time leading rusher, Patrick Cobbs.

Adams (6-0, 185) was an honorable mention All-Southwest Junior College Football Conference selection and was recruited by several Big 12 schools, including Texas A&M.

“Adryan is what we are looking for in a cornerback,” Dodge said. “He has good size and can really run and jump.”

UNT lost three of its top four safeties, which should open up a spot for Hill, who projects as a free safety. Adams will compete with a few returning players at cornerback in spring practice, including Antoine Bush and Latif Nurudeen.

      It took way too long, he was paid way too much money. Should have never been given a 2 year guaranteed contract. Why does UNT keep spending so much money on horrible hires? Eric Morris failed miserably in his first big hire as a FBS head coach. Period. Now Mosley needs to start being concerned. His first big hire is turning out to be a bust as well. His only saving grace is basketball but honestly Ross was already set up as a easy layup hire for him so his Morris hire is much more indicative of his abilities to identify and hire good coaches.

      Our DC also needs to be able to recruit. Apparently, the last regime only recruited DBs and STILL couldn’t run the 3-3-5.

      Absolutely agree. Morris made a terrible decision in the last hire, paying him WAY more than he deserved. Mosley should require full sign off on all candidates and he will.

      Yeah, you’re right. We should just accept and settle for mediocre teams and embarrassing coaching performances on a national stage. That shows our undying loyalty for the program and we should just shut up and stay out of it. NT being “our” team doesn’t mean we can’t voice our displeasure over the absolutely disgusting performance. UTSA does not have near the resources we have and yet they beat us because we have poor leaders who make tons of money and provide terrible results both on and off the field. And I could give two shits about getting to another crappy bowl game against a crappy opponent. That’s what they hope this Caponi firing will do, take our eyes off the embarrassment in San Antonio and 5 straight game losing streak. Get ready for it. The well staffed propaganda machine will be demanding we recognize and appreciate what an amazing accomplishment another six win bowl team is.
