As we were filing out of the pews last Sunday after church, one of my favorite youngsters ended up next to me waiting to do the mandatory hand shake with the Rector.

He was wearing a Michigan jersey and hiding a Nerf football under it.

"Michigan fan, huh? They really came back after the first couple games, didn't they?"

"They lost to Ohio St., so they only get to play in a bowl game."

"Don't feel so bad, buddy. The did better than my team this year."

"Who's your team?"

"North Texas."

"Ha! Ha! Ha! You guys got beat 79-10 by Oklahoma!"

"Yeah, that was pretty bad. Hey you wanna play catch?"

By this time, the parking lot was a frenzied starting line with Luby's at the finish.

"Go long..."

At 9 years old, no. His wisdom of hygeine products is probably limited to soap and water.

A 9 year old boy thinks dirt is a hygiene product.

I am a NT fan first, my blood runs green, BUT I was raised a Michigan since birth. My year has been horrible.

Yeah, no kidding, poor guy! Oh well, now you have Todd Dodge and Rich Rodriguez to root for (2 great ones!). Surely UM fans are excited!

Born in Grand Rapids and raised around the Maize and Blue my entire life...the App State game and the UNT/OU game were the same night...the only thing that kept me off the ledge that Saturday was Clay Bucholz no-hitter.

And the fact that the ledge was 6 foot tall and we all know there no way in hell you can reach that high....

Who cares about the 9 year old boy.......He probably still wet's his bed and thinks Pee Wee Herman is funny!!!!!

All I care about is the loss of new potential fans to follow our program with the TD hire and the amount of recruits and new interests we lost from that game and the many other embarrassing losses that followed throughout the season.

This season was the worst season for our football program, it was so hard to follow and maintain any patience. So you can imagine what it did to our seasonal fans, which we have alot of.

If you trying to get coworkers, family members during chirstmas, and other excited about mean green football. Do what I do, just talk about the new stadium and how it will fit perfectly into our athletic village. You have no idea how important that stadium is for our atheltics program.

Also it wouldnt hurt to talk about Mean Green Basketball as well. ;)
