at least the have yet to shred him to pieces, unlike some of our fans who wanted to rake Tomlin across the coals because he decided going to Air force or Vandy might be a better life decision for himself after football. <_<

It was a little more involved that you make it out to be. Consider these points:

1. Insulted value of education at NT (Are you NOT a proud alumnus???)

2. Why did he wait so long to announce? We knew since like, what, June!!?!!

3. Surprise that it was a TD ex-player...what ever happened to loyalty!?

Yes I am a proud alumnus, but I am not going to knock an 18 y.o. kid who decided to choose the Air Force Academy (little higher stature than UNT) or Vanderbilt (ask anyone which seems to be higher on the scale academic wise and publically none).

Tomlin was injured during the season made a mature decision in that Football may not be as important as he thought, playing football at UNT and Coach Dodge may have been high back in join, but when one gets injured that leaves a large amount of issues to debate.

As to loyalty not sure how these kids owe Dodge loyalty? They should be free to go where they please, not follow their former coach who left them for more money and bigger lights.

Do I wish he was coming to UNT, Hell Yese, but I am not going to tear him down for making a mature decision, not a decision based on beers, babes, and football.

 You mean, there was more to college than beer, babes, and football?
