You think expectations are a little different at U of Miami?? They fire their DC for giving up 300 points. It seems that we will be keeping our DC and he gave up nearly twice as many against lesser competition.

Miami 312 points / 26.0 per game

NT 514 points / 45.1 per game

Yea, but how many years did he have to get his players in and the existing players to buy into his "new" system.......oh wait......nevermind.

I agree with CorinthEagle on this one...PLEASE...PLEASE give it a rest. This is going nowhere and it has been cussed and discussed at great lengths on this board. Dodge knows what he is doing and it is his "neck" on the line...let's see where he goes with this whole situation...guess what? He is closer to it than any of us and has way more experience...I'll let him handle it. Please give this a rest.

No one forces you to read threads, so if you think you might not enjoy it, then don't read it.

Wow...great response...! Sorta like the "love it or leave it" crowd. O.K., point made, but why don't you write about something else? This is a VERY dead horse...try something original for a change. You keep acting like Dodge has no clue what's going on with the DC and HIS defense..."HIS" meaning Dodge's. I have to believe the man knows what he is doing...have a little faith!

Sooooooo...give this line of chat a rest and have a little faith in OUR program. BTW...the thread's title does not indicate that it was going to be just another of the long and tiring threads that say nothing more than FIRE THE DC! A rest of that line is in order!

I promise not to read them anymore if you promise to make sure the title of the thread indicates the content!

When you look at our team what is the one glaring weakness? What is the one thing that, without question, cost us several winnable games?

"Uh Alex, what is the defense."

i want to hear what he is doing. explain to me some reasonable excuse for the defensive failures. repetitive failures. otherwise i only see what i see mostly lack of defensive adjustments and coaching.

most glaring weakness--scheduling--need many more 1-AA teams with whom we MIGHT compete.
