Arkansas St - 57 Ball St - 47 - The Indians kept Ball State winless and managed their second win without star off-guard Adrian Banks. If there is a positive for ASU to take out of Banks absence (and assuming he returns) is that it gives the rest of the team, which has done very little thus far, to contribute. Ryan Wedel, who has been consistant, led the way with 13, but the Indians also got solid contributions from Yima Chia Kur (11pts), Shawn Morgan (8pts, 9rbs, 4 stls) and coaches son Logan Nutt (9pts on 3-3 shooting). ASU opens Sun Belt play thursday in a game of lower expectations against FAU.

UL-Lafayette - 68 UL-Monroe - 67 - Cajun guard Chris Gradingo hit a three pointer with 8 seconds left on the clock to give Lafayette the win. Gradingo led ULL with 15 points off the bench, while LaRyan Gary and Randall Diagle chipped in 12 each, picking up the slack for leading scorers Elijah Milsap and David Dees who both had off-nights. Monroe, who relies heavily on the outside shot, was just 5-20 from the 19'9". Leading scorer Tony Hooper went just 2-13 from the field. Jordan Payne led the way for the Warhawks with 16 and Lance Brasher finished with a 13 point, 10 rebound double-double.

Once again Brandon Roberts did not play for Monroe. They are not the same team w/o Roberts.
