All very impressive. If you look at the 360architects link and look at their design for Mizzou's basketball arena you realize just how much of a gem the Super Pit already is and will be for years to come.

I think the Pit needs a facelift somethin' aweful to sort fit in with the rest of the new look on campus and to not look so 1970's, but the facility itself is stellar.

The one thing they absolutely need to do to the Super Pit is paint the brown roof edge/overhang GREEN. Paging Pittsburg Paints. (Painting the name of the University on top of the roof wouldn't be bad either.

These are the people who did the UCF Stadium and also the new arena for the Miami Heat.

These are the guys who are doing the new Cowboys Stadium, the Colts, the Mavericks Arena

These guys did the Denver Broncos Stadium

Looks like we are going to have some great designs for our new stadium

Have these firms actually bid to get the design contract for our stadium? Did you see a list of the applicants? Thanks. BTW, I am also available as consultant if they need me; 35 years watching games at Fouts: I know what needs to be different!!

I believe the metal roof around the Super Pit is "rusted" by design. It might not be pretty but it is a low maintenance concept so you don't have to go and repaint it every couple years.

Many of the tall light poles are the same way. I think it might even be the same metal.

They call it patina- –noun 1. a film or incrustation, usually green, produced by oxidation on the surface of old bronze and often esteemed as being of ornamental value. 2. a similar film or coloring appearing gradually on some other substance.

Looks like rust to me

I've heard that Walter P. Moore, based in Houston, and their Dallas office, is really pushing to be involved in our new stadium. They've been involved with a number of sports arenas and stadiums, especially Reliant Stadium and Minute Maid Park in Houston along with others. I think they also worked on the Ballpark in Arlington. And they do really well with parking garages, which we'll need both by the softball field/across from the stadium and where Fouts is now.

And I'm not just backing them because my grandmother worked for them for 25 years. :)
