The official word was that he'd miss one game, but I thought it looked pretty painful and/or swollen from the way he was walking yesterday. Still a week until the Southern game, but it didn't look like he'd be running and jumping too soon. Anybody have any better perspective than I do, perhaps from having had such surgery?

It always feels sore afterwards but his return depends on many factors including what was done and how he's allowed to rehab afterwards. In my situation, from having my meniscus cleaned up from a previous tear, I went to walk it off at the mall the next day and was playing racket ball after a couple of weeks.

Yeah...when I tore my meniscus on both sides of my left knee I went back to work 2 days later. Probably not the best of ideas since I couldn't climb stairs or chase anyone but still. After about 2 1/2 weeks it was "all better."

I would prefer that Wooden stay out of action until after Christmas to make sure he doesn't come back too early. The more time off the better, I would rather have him at full strength for league play. So we can make a push for another conference title.

He's shooting in practice today. He'll be ready for Southern.

With all due respect to Southern, I agree with jwynn05 here. Wooden probably isn't needed against Southern, and I would rather he be ready to roll for conference.

JJ reinterrated last night again that he expects Wooden to be back in 6-8 days, most likely in time for Southern. I just assume he take off until 12/22 when we play Denver at Denver.

You can shoot from a wheel chair. Shooting doesn't mean you are ready for a competitive game.
