(from the D-RC blog, courtesy of Brett Vito):

North Texas senior center Keith Wooden underwent arthroscopic knee surgery following the Mean Green's loss to Texas this week and is out for today's game against Hartford.

The good news is the surgery was performed to address some lingering problems in Wooden's right knee. He isn't expected to miss more than one game. UNT scheduled the surgery for this week because it has several days off for Wooden to recover. UNT won't play again until taking on Southern on the 17th.

For more on Wooden, be sure to check out tomorrow's edition of the Denton Record-Chronicle.

It's time for Justin Howerton's "Break Out" party. It's time to step up, big guy!

GMG!

SUMG, who is that in your avatar?

Sucks this has to happen , but better now than later during SBC play.

Does White dare go for....40 ????

For anyone who has not had their knee scoped ( 3 times for me), KWood should be just fine. No need to try and rush him back , I just want him 100% once SBC play rolls around. Will be good for Howerton to get some PT.

I hope Howerton does light it up, but he didn't against Cameron, etc....

Please. please, please, please, don't become a lingering knee injury. :(

I hope he isn't being rushed back.

Totally agree. We've got three upcoming games that I feel good about (even if we don't have Wooden in the lineup). If it's even questionable, keep him out of the lineup until the Denver game.
