Crowning Achievement

Some overachievers out there are celebrating. Saturday's extreme result, on top of the other disappointments this season, can't just be the result of mere neglect. Probably some of you feel, that my suspicions about NT being the victim of agents of other interests, are just paranoid. On the other hand, I think to believe anything to the contrary is merely naive. With millions of dollars at stake, wouldn't it make sense for other big schools in Texas, with established infrastructures for influence, to direct some attention to keeping a school like NT down? Results like Saturday and the season in general can really only be the work of inside influences to be so effective. I bet they never imagined they could drag us down to the absolute bottom of Division 1.

After an entire season to make progress, and with nothing but complete failure to show as a result, I can't imagine why any of you are optimistic that the present administration and coaches will produce any significantly better results in any future season. NT needed to hire the kind of coach and staff that could produce appropriate results even with the present slate of players. NT decided not to do that. The blame falls on the decision makers and the ones on whom they relied for advice.

I feel a trust has been broken. I am not on the bandwagon. NT needs to start acting like it is not the hapless victim of outside influences if it wants any more support. Right now it is money down the drain, and I don't have room for that waste.
