These announcers don't turn off their mikes....ever. I just listened to how they are gonna go get hammered after the game. And one of the announcers picked UNT to win 56-14.

On the punt, it was hiked over the punter's head ... punter kicked it out the back of the endzone from the 1 .. illegal touching of the ball penalty.

The penalty is actually Illegal Kicking. You can't boot a live ball on the ground. The penalty is 15 yards and a loss of down (if against the offense, which this was). The result of this play is a safety, but only if the penalty is declined. Since the penalty was accepted, the yardage was enforced and the loss of down gave North Texas a turnover on downs. It's a big decision, since TD took points off the board.
