Sad for Troy and the Belt, they must have been looking ahead. Troy would have brought a ton of fans and trampled Memphis. I fear FAU may only have 1,000 fans there with a good chance to get beat. :(

While I agree on the number of fans they will bring, never count Capt. Kangaroo out.

Most Troy fans (on their board) think they are staying at home.

Supposedly, if Washington can upset Hawaii....that would help their chances, though.

My honest first thought was to give Schnelly credit. I might get blasted for the thought of it, but as Capt. Kangaroo figured out the spread?

I sure do hope Troy get at "at-large" bid to a bowl game this year. They deserve it, and should be rewarded for their efforts.

I thought I read somewhere that WW had said that if Troy lost other bowls might look at Troy for extending an invitation. Here's hoping he's selling Troy to those bowls, so the SBC get a second representative in post-season play.

The Troy football team deserves to play again, but if it receives an invatation to a bowl on either coast or more than 300 miles from Alabama. They will not bring fans and that is what bowls are about, FANS. If you don't travel well, you're not going to get an at-large bid.

The NCAA President’s Council has set up the system so that most years, most bowl eligible teams will get an at-large berth someplace. One of the reasons for so many bowls is to insure this. And just to make doubly sure, they changed the 6-6 rule two years ago so that a 6-6 team even from an automatic BCS conference can’t go to a bowl if a 7-5 team is available from someplace else. It doesn’t always work out, but that appears to be the goal of the bowl system as currently set up by the Presidents.
