This guy video taping this is out for ONE thing. There is no damn need to video tape something like that unless you plan on selling it. I am not trying to say Bobby Knight is in right here but this dude is saying things to reporters he did not have the balls to to say to Bobby. Come on now. This is another case of some broke ass trying to hit up some 'celebrity figure' up for some change. Its funny though....

Sure can't rule out a monetary motivation. But this was the day after Knight had sprayed pellets into another local woman's yard. There are also still-vague accounts of this videotaper later being struck in the neck by a pellet. He says Knight intentionally fired toward his house. Bob denies it.

On the other hand, if Bob had said, like any normal person and responsible hunter, "Gosh, neighbor, I'm sorry, we'll move," there would be no tape. This is the same act he's pulled for years, and the exact same behavior -- "YOU WILL BOW DOWN BEFORE ME AND TREAT ME WITH GREAT RESPECT REGARDLESS OF MY BEHAVIOR BECAUSE YOU ARE A SLUG!" -- that got him fired from whatever that last job of his was.

Ask yourself what you'd do if you needed to confront a person who is 1. very powerful around Lubbock and 2. a well-known rageaholic and 3. armed with a lethal weapon. At a minimum, I'd tape it. I think the neighbor displayed guts by going alone and not hiring Blackwater to guard him.

I sure know one thing: Hardly a week goes by that a Big XII coach doesn't do something entertaining.

In the story attached to the video they do mention that He had been confronted by the other neighbor and had apologized and that matter was over. He moved away from the barn or what not. If someone first had cursed me and yelled at me to do something then showed up with a video tape, I wouldnt be too happy either. This dude claims he didnt shoot it for money but mysteriously it is showing up on news shows all over. I doubt he just let them borrow the tape.

I side with Bobby Knight in this matter. The other guy is being a real dick.

This jacka$$ is as confrontational as the kid that helped get Knight fired at IU.

Speaking of Knight.....he will play "smaller" schools on the road, unlike some coaches. TTU played at Sam Houston State this year, and La. Tech a year or two ago. I'm sure we could get him to come to Denton, if we wanted to.

You know there's two ways to look at this and y'all have hit on both of them.

The guy has a right to ask hunters not to shoot towards his house but didn't seem to be very curteous or smart going about it the way he did. Not sure he's motivated by anything other than wanting peace and quiet and to not have someone shooting his direction. He has a pool which leads you to believe he's not living too uncomfortably so I'm not sure money is the deal here. Knight is a jackass in public and it could just be he's rubbed this guy the wrong way. I think they both know each other and just don't like each other. Knight on the other hand seems to be aware of his rights as a hunter because he stands his ground being in a spot that's either public land or he has permission to be there. I've hunted out that way and there's an infinite space to hunt in which you couldn't hit a house with a rifle much less a shotgun. I would think that with his obvious connections that Knight could get the hookup to hunt in a more secluded place and would just apologize the DAY BEFORE when the man yelled at them and go somewhere else before something just like this happened bringing more disrespect to himself and his university. How is it worth it to come back the next day to the same area where a guy yelled at you and risk something escalating to this point? Why not just go somewhere else? You know he knows hundreds of people who would let him hunt on their land even if he somehow doesn't own his own, which surprises me greatly if he doesn't? To me Knight was looking for this confrontation which directly falls into line with his history and personality. As a celeb who's in the entertainment business why risk this? It just doesn't make sense other than that well known ego trip coach Knight seems to always be riding on. He's lucky a game warden didn't come up and find him with more than their limit that morning. And that's the real flaw of the homeowner right there. Don't go out and confront hunters. Call the guys you and I pay to do that job. Call the game warden. It might have paid off much better than anticipated in the first place if your motive was to simply embarrass coach Knight?

Both individuals are at fault here in my oppinion.

Knight has also coached players to a 98% graduation rate. That's something any school should be proud of.

He may be an abrasive ass, but he cares about the kids he coaches. He has pushed his players to a level of success both on and off the court that is to be envied.

Wow, I did not know about the grad rate. I bet thats probably higher than the Dukes, UNCs, Texas's of the world. That says a lot. I remember the incident last year where he slapped Michael Prince. he didnt do it because he's a psychopath, he did it because he cared and wanted Prince to be successful. This man didnt win 860+ games for nothing.

Knight is a 1950s coach boarn about 40 years too late.

He refuses to tell kids that they are unique and special snowflakes whose hineys are always clean, and that is what made his teams winners.
