From this fantasy football report it looks like The Fins aren't going to let Patrick start after all:

Samkon Gado would likely start for the Dolphins if Jesse Chatman misses time with his ankle and neck injuries.

Gado isn't back on the Dolphin's roster yet, but apparently Patrick Cobbs' special teams ability is what kept him from being cut instead of Samkon. The Dolphins would prefer someone with Gado's experience as their starter. Chatman's status for for Week 13 should be more clear after Wednesday's practice, but Gado would be playing behind a solid offensive line against the Jets, making him a nice speculative pick-up.

Yahoo's update yesterday.

Nov 27 Cobbs recorded four carries for 11 yards in the Dolphins' 3-0 loss to the Steelers on Monday.

Recommendation: On a muddy Pittsburgh night, Cobbs was the last running back standing after starter Ricky Williams (pectoral muscle) and Jesse Chatman (ankle, neck) left the game in the second and third quarters, respectively. Cobbs figures to see an expanded role against a terrible Jets run defense in Week 13 if the injuries to one or both of those backs prove insurmountable. Stay tuned.

You've got to be kidding me..............Samkon Gado? Give PC a chance Miami.

i'm sure the people at liberty university are just as excited to see Gado possibly play as we are for Cobbs

Gado has had his chance in Green Bay a couple years ago and started a few games. Patrick deserves his shot now you never know if he'll get another one.

      Caponi fired

      I understand that his decisions to go for it on 4th down so much or not to kick FGs or play the field position game are bad decisions. Just playing Devil's advocate. Could it be that those decisions stem from a lack of confidence in the defense? It feels like he believes he has to score TDs on every possession to win because the defense will not stop anyone. So, that takes me back to he should have never kept Caponi after year one.

      I went to the game, again we started slow and accelerated in the second quarter outscoring ACU 27-12. We let them back in it and the lead got down to three points twice. But we went on a game-sealing 11-0 run to take a 66-52 lead as Lampkin took over. One of ACU's starting bigs went out late with an apparent back injury. She's from Bixby, Oklahoma, which is where I've gotten my only speeding ticket, so maybe she deserved it. As for the arena, it shares the same name as SMU's (Moody Coliseum) and looks like a carbon copy of TCU's (albeit half the size). Recently renovated and very nice. The ACU men hosted TXST shortly after. Which we could get some better men's/women's doubleheaders and on the weekend to help boost the ladies' attendance.
