Nt Vs Smu

There are 2 things that will being people out for a game on the weekend after Thansgving. 1) having a team that is in the top 25 playing another great team 2) HAVING A RIVALRY GAME

What do yall think about inking a deal with SMU to have the game on the weekend after Thanksgiving. I know it probably wouldn't have the same turnout as earlier in the year. But it could build into a Thanksgiving weekend ritual for alot of people. Just an idea, what do yall think?

I think from our angle it looks like a great idea... but more than half of SMU's students are from out of state... so they might not be as excited.

But let me make it clear, I'm all for the Safeway Bowl any date, every year.

I think it is a good idea but I don't know how well it would go over on our side. Most of our students are not from Dallas and go home for the holidays. Perhaps if both teams had winning records!

Personally, I would rather skip the Bye week and play straight thru to the end rather than having a Thanksgiving game.

The only deal that works in DFW are the Cowboys, its just that plain and simple. NT, SMU and TCU will never pull it off.

I think until we can average 30,000 fans a game, we should NOT play a game on Thanksgiving weekend.
