Smu's Next Coach

Congrats on your win yesterday. I was in Memphis for our game and I saw your score. You think KY players/fans are bad, you should see Memphis..ugh

Our AD is being completely mum about our new coach. Anybody who says otherwise is only speculating. All of us on the Pony board are just guessing. What I do know is that as of two weeks ago we have raised $10 million for our new coach and staff and would like to get $2 million more. We're serious about finding the right person. In my opinion, that would not be Fran.

Anyone that thinks that SMU isn't about to load their wagons, and do what needs to be done to get rolling again, is fooling themselves. Without green tinted glasses, look at what their resources are, not to mention their football history.

SMU has only had two winning seasons since the imposition of the death penalty in 1987, and both of them were 6-5 years. I'd like to see them pick things up again, because it makes for a better crosstown rivalry, but I don't see a reason to think it will happen.

SMU missed Dodge by one season. Orsini would have grabbed TD in a minute. Instead, UNT gets both and Riley might possibly start next season.

Graham left after one season...........would Dodge?

I'm no Fran fan but the guy won at New Mexico and TCU back when they were coaching graveyards themselves. If SMU lands him, he could be just what the doctor ordered.

Looks like one of those seasons was 5-6 until Tech lost a win for ineligible players.
