I was listening to the Hard Line on Friday, and I heard the stat that if North Texas gives up 60+ points total in the next 2 games, that we will set a new all time record for the most points ever given up by any college team ever in NCAA History.....

probably the biggest obstacle blocking the run to the record will be an 0-11 FIU team.

Worried somewhat about WKU as the team really needs the boost of winning the final games.

I just don't want to be FIU's sole win for the season. We already did that for SMU.

Nope, no sarcasm....I just don't think it will happen with the way our defense played last week. They made a 180 compared to the Navy game, and then you add in FIU and their offense, I just don't think the defense will give up as many as they have to, to get the record. Could be wrong, but I don't think it will happen.

North Texas was #1 in 1-AA when it lost to K State, 20-17. That was their first win in 30 games. The goal post came down needless to say. It was their only win that season.

The next year they started a 14 year string of winning at least 5 games., with 3 Big 12 titles and 11 straight bowl appearances of their 13 total bowl appearnces.

I covered the game for the Daily and it was one of the most heart-breaking games I have ever seen. Topped only by the Ark. State game on Thursday night.
