Man I hate A-Rod, I was so hoping that he would not be on my Yankees any more. Damn!

I think the Yankees are cursed as long as A-Rod is on the Team. So they are screwed!

My Rangers, well they are just screwed in general!

Damn!

I love it, I love it, I love it!!! The Yankees just paid 275 million to not win a World Series for the next 10 seasons!!!

Now Theo just needs to re-up Mikey Lowell and the team of the 21st century will be set for quite a while.

Go Sox!

Just curious, but why do you like the Yankees?

Well I love their energy over the years, that you can never count them out. They love to play small ball and also knock it out of the park depending on what is needed. I like that they have kept the tradition of clean-cut. I love the atmosphere at Yankee stadium. Hell I love eating a Sabrett Natural Casing hot dog across the street from the stadium.

Mostly growing up, I was born in 66 in Middletown, NY an area better know to most as part of Orange County, NY (where Orange County Choppers is located). I spent must of my childhood growing up in Dallas but I would spend summers and winter breaks in NY Upstate in the Catskill mountains. Where my first experience watching professional sports was watching Yankee games almost every night during the summer with my grandparents. Now when the Rangers started up in 72 my Mom took me to some of the games and I watched the Yankees kill them a couple of times. I have tried to be a good Rangers fan also but 35 plus years of needing pitching has really sucked. My grandparents did not watch other sports nor did my parents, so for everything else I am completely a local fan.

I don't like most bandwagon fans that like teams they have no connection to, so I'm glad your not one of those. Especially since I hate the Yankees and that would be a double whammy ;)

Now I'm curious as to why you don't like A-Rod. He's the best player in the game today and by the end of his career could be arguably the best player ever. He's clean cut, is totally clean(no steroids, ect...), changed positions to play for the Yankees even though he is a better shortstop than Jeter, and he really doesn't make much more than several other Yankees. I've always wondered why people hate A-Rod.

A-Rod on paper is great! But it started when he was negotiating with the Rangers, he wanted a private plane for himself and his lackeys to fly from game to game, he felt he was above flying with the team. One of my old roommates had season tickets for years to the rangers, one year I had been hurt and was going through therapy and had tons of time on my hands, my roommate dragged my to almost 30 games that year. I watched first hand time and time again how at the beginning of games or when we were way up he could hit a mile, but when we needed a hit in the eight, or ninth I would watch him strike out routinely. And I guess I was also angry at the Rangers for not spending the money on pitching.

At the Yankees he still seems to have that one man show air about him, even to the point that the Yankees had to kick his lackeys out of the Clubhouse. In his history there he has not produced much in the Post Season except a ton of strike outs. By the way I would take Jeter at short any day I love his energy and that he really seems to love the game. That he will sacrifice his body to get an out.

Maybe this break that A-Rod has had from his agent will help him be more a team kind of guy.

I don't know he may end up being the best player ever on paper, but to this point he seems to lack that team attitude and personality that truly impresses many fan.

All in all it may be in my head, and I can't really tell you why I dislike A-Rod, but my mind is open and things change.

Oh yeah did I tell you about the curse, not that I really believe in things like that.
