You cant blame mendoza on this one, the offense had 2 chances to seal the game and couldnt do it, we cant make mendoza the scapegoat for everything.

Are you sure? They came back after being down 21 points, they won the game in the last minute...this wasn't the offense's fault....no, Mendoza is to blame, again....sure the offense looked bad tonight and I sure didn't like some of the play calling, reminded me of DD, but the defense is not innocent in this game....I caan't believe Mendoza even has a job.....this really pisses me off about Dodge.

Shared blame on this one. The Offensive (literally) playcalling at the ends of both halves absolutely put ASU in a position to win. With a first & 10 from the 14, the playcalling says to Vizza & Co "We don't trust you in the clutch. Just run some simple off-tackle plays and we'll pray for a defensive stop". I saw game management in that series that can only be described as chicken, playing not to lose.

By the way, a field goal would have only given us a 6-point lead. We still would have lost.

NT should have gone for it on 4th down.

Offense only had to go 24 yds for 10 of 27 pts, so 17 pts on nearly 450 yds total offense and only 6 pts in the second half, DODGE has to go with Mendoza

Nope, Coach Mendoza coached his best game of the year tonight. Not his or the defenses fault. And our special teams despite the missed chip shot field goal played better than they ever have all year.

Our defense came out in several different looks, from the base 4-3 to a 5-2 and a 6-1 and until that final drive would have held Arkansas State to under 400 total yards for the game. I saw a much improved defense tonight than in weeks past. The players were in position to make two interceptions on that last drive and dropped both passes that hit them in the hands.

Can't tag this loss on the defense.

I wouldn’t have a problem with that philosophy (playing not to lose) . . . . . . . . . . . . . assuming we had a decent defense.

However, I agree, you can’t play that way when the strength of your team is the offense.

I don't think we should expect our offense to HAVE to score at least over 35 points every game just to be able to make it "winnable". We need a new coordinator.

Offense only scored 17 pts, the defense and special teams contributed to 10 pts allowing the Offense the need to go 24 yds for those 10 pts. nearly 500 yds and only 17 pts is terrible
