OK, tonight was a huge win, but was it the biggest? What about the '88 win over Northeast La. to send us to the Big Dance for the first time? What about the win over Ark. St. last year that sent us to the Big Dance? Or was it the win over Texas in '80 or was it the win over Arizona State in the late 70's? Talk among yourselves.

If people would stop trying to downplay this victory, it could be HUGE in terms of getting students into the Pit on a regular basis.

I think this is the biggest so far simply because of name recognition. That was an opponent with prestige. I hope this is the beginning of something special.

Texas was a bigger win in terms of name recognition but I would say our victory over West Texas State in 1976.

(I can't speak on victories prior to 75-76 though I know there were bigger wins)

The blow-out win over WTSU avenged an earlier loss at their place. The win ended our best season ever at 22-4 where we staked claim as the best college basketball team in Texas.

Just think, apathetic students are perusing this board and might be like "Well the alums really dont think this is that big, so whatver". This was huge. No more less than 1000 people on game day/night. Let's forget about what happened 20 years ago. Thank god I dont have to reminsce (spelling check?) on the good old days. We beat OSU, a perennial Top 25 team. We beat ISU, lets get some votes in the polls. THIS IS HUGE! Students have never been this excited before....

My only challenge to the student body is to keep up what you are doing and try to bring friends. You guys looked great from what I saw on ESPN360. We need to bury every team that steps foot in the Pit. Visiting teams should loathe coming to our court.

I would suggest several wins over top 20 teams while in the MVC in the late 60's would be just a little bigger, although ancient history to most.

I don't believe it's our biggest win. I'd argue that the Conference tournament victories were more important by far.

But this was a special, special win. I'm so glad I was there to witness it.
