DENTON, Texas (11/13/07) – North Texas notched the fourth largest margin of victory in school history against Cameron on Saturday, and hopes to carry that momentum into Wednesday’s home matchup against Oklahoma State.

The game is being televised on Fox Sports Net Southwest. Tip time is scheduled for 7:08 p.m. at the Super Pit.

Both teams are coming off postseason berths in 2006-07. North Texas fell to Memphis in the NCAA Tournament opening round, while OSU lost to Marist in the NIT opener. The series with the Cowboys dates back to 1937, with OSU leading the all-time series 12-0. The programs last faced off in a 94-56 Oklahoma State win at the Super Pit in 2000.

What To Watch For

• Every active player on the Mean Green roster scored on Saturday night to give North Texas the fourth largest margin of victory in school history, 53 points. NT’s 106-53 win over Cameron was paced by five players in double-figures - four of which are newcomers.

• Since North Texas basketball records have been kept, this is the first time two true freshmen have started a season opener. Tristan Thompson and Josh White made their debuts in the starting lineup with 16 and 14 points respectively, the top performances by true freshmen in a season opener in school history.

• The Mean Green is coming off a magical 2006-07 campaign that saw NT win a school record 23 games. North Texas won its first ever Sun Belt Conference title and advanced to its first NCAA Tournament since 1988.

• Quincy Williams and Keith Wooden both earned Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Third Team honors. With 11 guards on the three all-conference squads, the North Texas seniors represented two of the four frontcourt players selected, with Wooden the only center.
