I spoke with Johnny yesterday at the game, and he had great things to say about the web site I have put together (see link below). I was humbled, and have since sent him a copy of a photo I had snapped of he and his girlfriend at the FAU game. This morning, I received an email from him. He mentioned in it that he leaves for Green Bay tomorrow (Mon., Nov. 12th), and arrives for practice with the team on Tuesday.

Green Bay has had it's share of injuries at WR this year, current injuries at this position include:

Name____________Position__Injury__Status

Ruvell Martin___WR________Back____Probable

Koren Robinson__WR________Knee____Probable

JOHNNY we wish you the best!

Green Bay Packers -- give 'em a shot you won't be disappointed!

Yes, he must make the active roster.

But it's no more of a Dolphins' Douche, who wears a Dolphins #38 jersey with Cobbs on the back, or a Jets' Douche that wears a Jets Jersey with the name Kassell. But don't wear a KC Jersey #54 with Waters on it. Most NT fans don't remember the GREAT Brian Waters.

Not so fast my friends , not to rain on anyone's parade but this is just a tryout. NFL teams try out FA on a weekly basis almost. I'm pullin for you JQ , your a real class act.

Yes, you are correct, this is a try out... I'm not sure if this was interpreted differently from my original post. He has not made the team... yet!

Well I have to say ...Go Johnny...we need more UNT REPS in the NFL. I am a cowboys fan and when they meet, if Johnny is on the field, it will be tough to switch alliances, but I will root for him if he makes the team.

Lastest articles regarding Johnny's tryout this pas t Tuesday (11/13) state nothing other than a confirmation that he was there for the tryouts, but found a list of others that also attended in the following blurb:

The Packers also gave auditions to former University of Wisconsin-La Crosse receiver Scott Burnoski, quarterback Rohan Davey, receivers Antoine Burns and Johnny Quinn, and running back Aaron Pruitt.

He didn't make it. I heard they didn't take anyone.

Did Rohan Davey play for LSU?

I have it on very solid knowledge that he was signed to a "Futures contract" or something along those lines, where they have his rights for next year. It doesn't mean that he has a contract, but G.B. has his rights for 2008.

Bought the rights to him from Buffalo.
