You know, if this defense hadn't been ranked 64th last year and had so many returning starters this season, I might agree. If I saw them making adjustments during games, then I will feel much better, but at this point, there is not one of us that shouldn't be ticked right now that we gave up 74 points, at home, to a RUNNING team.

I agree. I really don't believe that we can excuse today's performance by saying that "these are DD's guys" on the defensive side of the ball. Defense is a whole different ball game than offense, and we don't seem to be showing the organization, desire, and aggression necessary to have a decent team on the defensive side of the ball. Obviously talent is important, and I believe that we have talent, but our defense is just not reflecting anything positive from the coaching staff's "schemes" this year. Easily the worst defense I have seen in Denton in my 30 or so years of following North Texas football since I was a kid. On a positive note, could be the beginning of something big here if the D can find a way to catch up to the O.
