It was an exciting game throughout, and our girls never took their feet off the pedal.

There were some absent-minded turnovers, but the ladies were physical enough on the other end of the court to get the rock right back.

Should be a better season than last year! Great job, ladies!

2002-2003 NT 70-55 Final Record 12-16

2003-2004 NT 88-73 Final Record 11-17

2004-2005 Houston 83-62 Final Record 14-14

2005-2006 NT 87-56 Final Recod 19-9

2006-2007 NT 80-67 Final Record 9-20

We've never beaten them this bad.

I have come to the conclusion that exhibition games mean absolutely nothing. Comparing scores versus the Houston Jaguars is even more misleading. The Houston Jaguars were scheduled to play two other games on the same day as the NT game. The Jaguars have a huge squad and the results against them are swayed by what part of the team you are actually playing.

On another note does anyone know why Sanetra Jackson did not play?

Completely agree about Exhibition games.

Sanetra was delaing with off-court issues, that may keep her away for a good part of the season...

      I know this is a popular narrative here, but I'm not so sure. Morris hits on one QB (Ward) and he's some sort of QB savant? Not sold on that...yet, but I'm a hard grader. How much coaching did he really do with Rodgers and Morris? Both QBs were already 95%+ fully developed in their games. What specifically did coach Morris change about their skill sets or did he just turn them loose to do their thing? They just needed a place to play and coach Morris provided that, but Rogers wasn't even named the starter until game three. So much for identifying talent. Don't we have a dedicated QB coach responsible for coaching QBs? As head coach, Morris has a lot of other responsibilities. And how hard is it to "discover" QBs in the portal? I mean you just have to sort on position and scroll. Also, I thought QB Morris sought us out looking for a place to play that matched his style so he could parlay that into an NIL offer (which I'm fine with and how we are going to survive BTW).

      here's a fun one...I wonder if half the active posters here would even recognize this name: Bryce Zephir has just transferred from Montana State to Syracuse. if that name is at best vaguely familiar, let me fill you in... '20-21 - Chipola JC. - averaged 6.1ppg '21-22 - UNT - played in 11 games and scored a total of 12 points '22-23 - UNT - the odd redshirt your second year '23-24 - Salt Lake City CC - averaged 10.5ppg '24-25 - Montana State - 5.3ppg in 29 games and that's a resume that lands you a scholarship at a former national champion. fair play to Bryce for keeping a college career going and getting to see a large swath of the US doing it

      Softball vs. UAB (4/17 & 4/18/25)

      Mother Nature disrupts another softball series. With Easter on Sunday, and bad weather expected Saturday, the ladies will play one game tomorrow and a doubleheader Friday starting at 3 PM. Tight race in The American as we enter the last three conference series. UNT needs two wins this series to match their win total from last year. I maintain getting a top two seed is the highest priority but we are right there with #1 FAU and hold the tiebreaker, the only team in the conference to do so. Other Series This Weekend FAU @ East Carolina Memphis @ South Florida UTSA @ Charlotte Wichita State @ Tulsa I don't foresee South Florida or Charlotte losing this weekend, so a sweep at home against UAB is almost necessary.
