sure that isnt UNT v SMU?

If it is...we're going to win!!

NT Commitments playing:

#11 Riley Dodge

#35 Derek Tomlin

#61 Nick Leppo

I thought I heard more players than this were commited to UNT?? Was that wishful thinking/dreaming??

I guess its just me, but SLC just does not seem that strong. Against a good defense, balls would have been picked tonight and their secondary is weak.

Cantu, Dodge and Newton need to "button up" their helmets next season because their gonna get their heads ripped off the way they wear their gear.

Neither team was particulary sharp to me. Playoff brackets might bring down the Dragons early. Grapevine had a slow defense and their offense was not executing against a injury ridden SLC defense.

I thought the SLC receivers did a great job with some of the marginal passes they had thrown to them. Dodge did a good job scrambling. The pocket seemed to be there most of the time but the receivers were covered and you only get so long in the pocket before it breaks down. What 4-5 seconds and something better happen with the ball. OK game I suppose. I like those SLC receivers!! Is Newton really going to be what he wants to be at UT?? I think he has a better chance at UNT, even if TD passes 60%+. Daddy Nte sees his "baby" at UT in line for the Heisman though??? That's a good father!

Is Tre' Newton good enough to play a big role at RB at THE university of Texas???? Wow, I hope so but everyone I know believes that the kid from Alief (Hills) is a much better RB, but we'll see.

Absolutely agree with you here. I personally think he's severely overrated. He's a good player, just not the 5-star recruit many make him out to be.

Probably because he's rated at 3-stars; even with his commitment to UT.

The 5-star comment was supposed to have a hint of sarcasm attached to it.

I know he isn't a "real" 5-star recruit.
