You kinda have to wonder what would have happened had North Texas been able to connect on our Wr pass. Stickler had someone wide open for what would have been a touchdown. It was overthrown and a few plays later we turned it over only to see Troy convert on it's trick play. It makes you wonder how having that momentum and a 7-0 lead would have helped our team. I do like the fact that TD tried a play like that.

I was wondering the same thing after the game. That was a golden opportunity and might have made Troy thing twice about blitzing so much. I think Fitz was the receiver ? He had his man beat by about 10 yards if I remember. It would have been a definate score.

Stickler has some real arm strength and threw a nice spiral. I guess he just had a little too much adrenaline that early in the game. Too bad.

We connect on that pass and the whole complexion of the game might have been different. Still may not have won, but it might have been a "contest" at least...plus, our offense does something with a few of the turnovers and who knows???? A play or two in each game we have lost this year...what a difference a play or two makes is correct, but that the way all contests in sports seem to go.

As I am a soccer "guy", I have seen time and time again that each team will make about three "mistakes" in critical situations...the team that capitalizes on the others "mistake" more often than not wins the game...take it a bit further and turn it around...each team will have at least three very good scoring opportunities "in the box" during a game...the team that converts wins....sometimes that may not be the better team, they just took advantage of the opportunities given...UNT needs to "learn" how to take advantages of opportunities given...and, maybe add a little "lady luck" in the mix...like connecting on the pass in question.....so be it! It is what it is this year. And, it IS fun to watch. SEE YOU SATURDAY AT FOUTS!

I actually think it was Jackson. This is pure speculation. Personally, I'm not so sure one single play would have swung an entire gameplan that butchered our frosh QB left and right.

I spend more time wondering why it took nearly 3 quarters to finally connect with Mosley on one of the blitzes. Offensive execution took a step back last week.

I am still trying to figure out how we only score 7 points when we get 7 turnovers. How bad would that score have been if they only turn the ball over 3 or 4.

Look what happened on the coin toss. Troy wins, and defers, which seems

to be the new trend in college football. Troy kicks off and our guy takes

the ball 3 yards deep in the end zone and tries to run the ball out?

The guy gets tackled on our 11 yard line for a great start. What a great

call for the option pass, too bad the wind was in our face and blowing.

I think Stick over adjusted his pass for wind factor. Other wise the

play goes for a TD. Could this have changed the game. No, although

the game would have been more interesting. First, I was more

disspointed in the 7 turn overs only producing one TD, and

second, I do not buy into "we did not know Troy would blitz that much"

theory. Every team we have played this year blitzed alot. Troy

saw a weakness in our OL and knew that if the QB was busted,

NT would not have any success. Geez, the staff could not see the

blitz packages and what Troy was doing, play after play?

I know Troy's defense is good, and their offense is good, so

I guess North Texas was just out manned again.
