I would like to thank all of the Mean Green faithful who made the trip to Troy. Despite the lop-sided score, I hope you all had an enjoyable trip to Dixie. I was very disappointed in the student section fire drill at half-time, mostly because of the misconception I knew visitors would take away from the game. We, the students, do not normally clear out like that and I was very embarrassed at the showing. Once again, thank you all very much for visiting us and I look forward to returning the gesture next year when I make my way to Denton.

Now that you have seen Omar, do you think he is worthy of the Davey O'Brien? Ignore the interceptions...if you can, lol. He did not play his best game, but I think just seeing his speed and abilities with the football might persuade you he is a high quality QB. For those of you who have been voting for him in the O'Brien thank you very much, for those who haven't been I encourage you to do so. I feel Omar is much more deserving than ASU's Corey Leonard. Thank guys, and Go 'Belt!

Very good QB...a possibility for the O'Brien, but there is stiff competition from "bigger" schools who get all the national pub. You know, the BCS conference vs the "have not" conference thing. But, there is a shot for your guy and he is a good one. You have my vote...but, I can't vote! Thanks for the nice words. We'll see you in Denton next year. Let us know if we can help you find a great drink/food/party, etc. spot in Denton. Lots os stuff in Denton...you do not have to go to Dallas or Ft. Worth to spend your $$$$. Besides...all the good looking UNT co-eds will be in Denton after the game! Well, a lot of them anyway!

Omar is quite the all-around athlete.

The dude has a very strange, unorthodox looking delivery though.

Good luck the rest of the year. You guys are our best shot at representing the Belt in a bowl game.

While he may not win the trophy, a good showing in the fan vote could definitely do a lot for the 'Belt. That is why I initially came here and asked for your votes, if the SBC schools pull together we can achieve a lot. The biggest problem facing us is the fact we aren't as you pointed out a BCS conference, and thus do not get the publicity. IMO, if Omar were at lets say Michigan he would be on the cover of Sport Illustrated. The best way for belt schools to get their players names out there is for all the belt fans to help one another out..you scratch my back i'll scratch yours. If the fans would put aside rivalries and actually adhere to this game plan we could all have a player or two in the spotlight each year. So I go back to my original request, please vote for Omar. I'd like him to pass ASU's Corey Leonard, who is obviously not as deserving of the award as Omar. He is only where he is because his fans are voting fanatics. Two Belt QBs in the running would say something about the quality of quarterbacks in our league.

GO BELT!

I'd have to disagree with you on that. Omar is by far the best QB in the state, JP just gets more hype because he plays for Alabama. You put Omar on the Crimson Tide roster and he is all over sports center and sports illustrated. Omar has throw for almost 2000 yards already this season, he is on his way to 3000 easy before the end of the year.

Drop kick me Jesus Omar through the goal posts of life

End over end neither left nor to right

Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights

Drop kick me Jesus Omar through the goal posts of life.

Make me, oh make me, Lord Omar more than I am

Make me a piece in your master game plan

Free from the earthly tempestion below

I’ve got the will, Lord Omar if you’ve got the toe.

Drop kick me Jesus Omar through the goal posts of life

End over end neither left nor to right

Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights

Drop kick me Jesus Omar through the goal posts of life.

Take all the brothers who’ve gone on before

And all of the sisters who’ve knocked on your door

All the departed dear loved ones of mine

Stick’em up front in the offensive line.

Drop kick me Jesus Omar through the goal posts of life

End over end neither left nor to right

Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights

Drop kick me Jesus Omar through the goal posts of life.

Yeah, Drop kick me Jesus Omar through the goal posts of life

End over end neither left nor to right

Straight through the heart of them righteous uprights

Drop kick me Jesus Omar through the goal posts of life.

Give it a listen... it is real.

This is just a little editing and bad voice-over work from being a reality.
