If you attended the Denton Exes Mixer in July featuring Coach Dodge you know this will be a good evening and a great chance to hear from Coach Jones, Coach Slinker and a representative from UNT's Murphy Enterprise Center. If you do not know about the Murphy Enterprise Center this is your chance.

I've seent he artwork for the new Denton Exes Basketball T-Shirt.....and it's great! You will want to get your at the Mixer on the 7th...and, for the PC crowd out there...no sinking battleships on this one...O.K., inside joke, but I think most of this board know what I mean! :lol:

Remember, this is a Denton Exes event, BUT ALL ARE WELCOME...free "adult beverages" from Miller in Denton and some munchies to keep you alert until you can grab dinner after the event. Heck, you may even want to go to dinner with some fellow Exes after the Mixer. If you are in Dallas-Ft. Worth...plan now to take off a little early so you can get there by the 6PM start. I work in Dallas and I will be there in plenty of time.

No excuses now...plan ahead and come out to a nice evening with the Exes and your fellow Mean Green Nation-ites! See you there.

GO EXES...If you are not a member of the Exes, you will be able to join at the mixer...info will be available.

So can students attend? If you're giving out free "adult beverages" this place is going to be packed.

The event is for UNT Exes, but guests are allowed...and welcomed. Adult beverages are for those "of the proper age". If folks start "cheating" on the age thing, The Exes will no longer be able to provide "adult beverages". Obviously, there will be "monitors" and "ID" checkers in attendance to control the flow... The last Mixer saw about 125 folks attend. Hopefully, more will turn out this time...we'll see. It's a great chance to join the Exes and/or renew your membership...so you can enjoy the Exes events, Mixers, etc. The Denton Chapter has done several events this year and will be doing several more....new and returning members welcome...as thet say on the Price is Right..."COME ON DOWN"!!!!

BUMP...who is coming to the Nov. 7th Mixer? Should be a great time to visit with other Mean Green Exes members and friends and to hear about the men's and women's basketball programs for 2007/08...and hear what's up at the Murphy Enterprise Center.

Are you coming? Starts at 6PM...make plans now to be ther on the 7th.

It was great! :clapping: We had a decent crowd that included the chairman of the board of regents, the university president, the new VP for finance, the athletic director, the men's and women's basketball coaches, the assoc. director of the Murphy Enterprise Center and the new director of the Mean Green Exes...nopt to mention several other athletic dept and academic leaders. Cheer team and dance squad members also attended which, in my mind, is always a good thing!

Speakers were Joan Ackerson from the Murphy Enterprise Center, Coach Tina Slinker and Coach Johnny Jones.

The food was great, the beverages were cold and it was great to "mix" with other members of the Mean Green Nation. If you were there...thanks for coming and I hope you had a great time...if you missed it, we are soory you couldn't be there, and hope you can make the next one.

I understand the Denton Exes are planning three more events this year...another Mixer in january, the annual scholarship auction event in April and a "cook-out/picnic family event in April. Stay tuned for details...

Hey, it was all FREE too last night! Yippee! :lol:

See you Saturday for the Navy game...and the raising of the NCAA banner at the Super Pit after the game!
