MTSU head coach Rick Stockstill saw Dasher's second-quarter injury as a sign that both quarterbacks will be needed.

"We're going to have to (use both quarterbacks)," Stockstill said. "Dwight hurt his ankle in the Virginia game, reinjured his ankle against Memphis and hurt his calf a little bit, ... and then came out with an injury (against ASU) for a little while. Joe is healthy now, and Joe gives us a chance to do some things. We did a lot of things with him in the backfield, with him throwing the ball, with him in on a trick play and reverses.

Stockstill is amazing to me. To come in his first season and with Andy Mac's players, beat us for the first time ever in a route and go on to a bowl game. It doesn't surprise me that he could make any situation work to his favor. Anyone remember their game this year against Louisville? That same offense is coming to town. I don't understand how they lost to WesternTuck, although the red dots do have one of the better defenses they shouldn't have been able to slow this group down.
