Can he sign with UNT in December? (Since he would have graduating HS) If not, what kind of aid can he receive to attend school in January when the Football signing date is February. Also, Todd Dodge recently commented on Riley's status with the Mean Green next year. Can TD, or any other coach, comment on a kid before they sign?

Thank you very kindly!

Yes, Riley will have to pay his way if he enrolls in December. A coach cannot comment about a recruit until he actually signs but a FATHER can talk all he wants.

He will just be a midterm signee. There is a signing period for these kids. He will be offered a scholarship at that point. Accepting financial aide will count as the same thing as if he had signed a letter of commitment in February. He will not have to pay his own way for that first semester.

This is no different that when DD would bring in a JUCO guy at midterm. That is how we got that All American JUCO lineman (who never cracked the roster and then quit).

Children of employees do not have to pay for tuition at NT. Helwig's son used to work for me - and he didn't have to pay. All of the Helwig children went to NT, they got to go for free. I don't even think that we will need to use a ship on Rodge.

Children or a family member do pay tution. They can submit a form and have fee's waived.

Not true. I was the son of a NT prof and didn't get free tuition.
