There is talk at several websites that Fran's imminent demise is near. Possibly within a couple of weeks.

Candidates apparently being looked at by aTm: Tedford, Tuberville, Pelini, Auburn DC Will Muschamp, and Texans OC Mike Sherman.

Sherman is an Ag and there are also rumors he'd bring Slocum back with him as the DC

man i hope Sherman doesnt go to Collie Station... i like him with the Texans.

I've listened to all kinds of delusional agtards calling in to radio stations in Houston about who they think will replace Fran. They apparently think its still a high profile job as they've rattled off names like Steve Spurrier and Gary Kubiak- with total sincerity- and that its only just a matter of money.

Living in a city full of A&M and LSU fans, you get to a point where nothing really surprises you.

LSU fans are multiplying in Dallas too. I have a ton of co-workers with no affiliation which is making it harder for me to support my real friends who grew up breathing LSU football. I gloat to them and console the others.

Spurrier is a big name right now because they realized he hates South Carolina and makes half of what Fran makes. The common justification: "people said Fran would never come here either."

Whoever comes next though gets to ride Jerrod Johnson though and make the team look much better very quickly.
