I'm simply posting this to remind those here exactly why we should all try and post as best we can with responsibility as the admins have asked us to.

I know that I chose long ago to be a publicly recognized face who happens to post on this board and I accept full responsibility for it. I wouldn't change the past for anything because its helped me meet so many wonderful people, in fact I met about 10 more of you today, and its given me the chance to be a part of countless positive things that have gone on at North Texas over the years. But after what happened to me and my family tonight I'm starting to question that decision?

Unlike many here on GMG.com, as far as I can think back, I don't recall calling for anyone on this coaching staff's head over the course of this season leading up to tonights game against ULM. I don't believe I have been extremely harsh at all but have simply stated I wanted to see adjustments after watching the OU, SMU, FAU and AU games IN PERSON. And I certainly have not called out players in any critical way, if in any way at all that I can recall. But immediately after the game and as always, we took the kids down onto the field to tell the players "good game", to watch the fireworks, and to let the kids play a bit before the long drive home. But somehow a win over Louisiana Monroe justified someones release of tension after what has obviously been a very stressfull season by this coaching staff so far, because out of no where I was approached by a member of this staff that through his actions, twice gave me a direct message that I'm obviously THE recognizable and very disliked face of this fan message board by this coaching staff, so much so that immediately afterwards I'm left trying to explain it as best I can to a 6 year old who repeatedly asked me "Daddy, why does that man hate you so much?".

This is twice now for me by a paid member of a North Texas coaching staff. Not sure I'll give anyone another chance to make it a third?

P.S. I hope everyone enjoyed "Boomer" The Cannon tonight. I know we did. The crew from Talons took it upon themselves to work hard this week in order to deliver as we asked them to and I think they did a great job and I'm proud of them.

We are all happy that we finally won a game. And, look...surprise, surprise...it's like many of us have said all along - defense wins games. You don't have to throw the ball 50 times a game if your defense is good enough to win. So, finally - albeit against a 1-5 team - our defense showed up and pulled one out for us.

So, for all of FFR's commitment to the program, a member of the staff dresses him down afterwards. I've told you before, and you can scroll through the archives to see for yourself, that this athletic department has fully demonstrated by its actions on this board that it is unprofessional and pathetic.

An athletic director who posts, and has a weasel checking the boards when he can't. How utterly ridiculous can you be? Again, just try to imagine DeLoss Dodds at Texas or Joe Catsiglione at Oklahoma combing through a fan message board. And, then, take the next step. Imagine them have someone monitor it for them, take the information gleaned, and then calling out a season ticket-buying, donation-giving fan publicly after a win against a 1-5 team.

What a freaking joke.

Last year, RV and his flunky tried to paint me as a disgruntled assistant coach. So much so, that the flunky posted after my every post. So, I challenged them to put their money where their mouth was. For $1,000 apiece I offered to meet them, show them my driver's license, and log onto gomeangreen.com in person, right in front of them to prove I wasn't a coach.

Of course, I never heard from either of them. Now, his flunky only occassionally follows my posts with snide remarks.

Sadly, we have a pathetic, paranoid crew running our organization. There's no need to wonder why we can't hire the best college football coaches available. There's no need to wonder why we don't have a new stadium. No need. We already know. Our staff is so busy worrying what someone online might be saying about them, they can't work.

Even with the win over a 1-5 team, I repeat my promise not to give one more penny of support to my alma mater UNT until the carnival barkers are gone.

Calling out FFR...what a joke. Why don't you do something besides go 0-5, then beating a 1-5 team if you want some respect? If it weren't true, it'd be unbelievable.

P.S. - Where is the president in all of this? The Board of Regents? Asleep at the wheel as usual. Only at UNT can the president and Board sit by and watch such a colossal waste of time by their own employees. They've already lost money and support here. Now, they'll sit and watch a pack of high school coaches go after a fan who watches their crappy brand of football...and even goes on the road to do it. And, someone who goes out of his way, without pay, even when times are bad, to promote the program. Sick.

No more posts here, no money money for the school (except the department from which I earned my degree) until the carnival barkers are gone. It's simply casting pearls before swine, and I won't do it anymore.

G'day, enjoy the train wreck.

You are a very capable problem-solver, sir. In other posts, you complain that we do not offer enough salary to lure a high-profile coach; a now you say you won't give a dime or encourage anyone to give a dime to our program. At least now you can confine your self-loathing to the borders of your own home.

Wow, I'm fairly new to this board and wow, I'm glad you are newly gone from this board. I am feeling great about things at UNT, everthing! We have a great president, a great athletic director, an great football coach, a great new executive director of the Exes, and a great school. Sure.....it's not easy and we have a few bumps in the road. If I had more money, more would go back to UNT. It is a real shame that you have such mis-guided passion. It COULD be helpful and constructive. It's obvious that you need to go away, do some sole searching, fix what's really wrong in your life and come back. Once Mean Green, always Mean Green. I've always been one for second chances.

FFR, keep up the good work and don't lose the passion. Kids count on all of us!
