"One first down from the one yard line UNT quarterback Giovanni Vizza would throw a 7 yard sit down pass to Casey Fitzgerald. Casey would shake off Darius Battles and go 99 yards for the score. A flag was throw for a block in the back but was mysteriously picked up and waved off giving UNT a 14-0 lead"

Brock Stickler blocked a NLU defender from the side. The official threw a flag for blocking from behind, but after a lengthy discussion with his fellow officials, and replay proves the fact, he picked up the flag.

Which was the correct call.

Dodge said on the post game show that the flag was not for the block. He said after Stickler made the block, he and the defender ended up well out of bounds, and when both ran back out on the field, one of the refs thought Stickler had come off the sideline.
