You dismissed one of the greatest offensive plays in UNT history as bad tackling. How many Warhawks missed? I saw maybe one or two.

To be unbiased, it was bad tackling. There is no reason he should have broke free from that. You just need to see the play without those green tinted glasses. I am happy and elated that we got that touchdown. But, it wasn't anything spectacular other than a broken tackle and some great speed to get away from everyone. The block by Stickler was sweet... but, again, it shouldn't have even gotten to that point. With that said, a better team is the one that takes advantages of the other's mistakes. And that is what we did.

I am not being negative... i am calling it as a i see it.

And meangreendork was right, i was being sarcastic with that original comment.

I watched the play a dozen times, thanks to TiVo. One or two bad tackles, then it's all Fitzgerald and one great block that knocked a certain tackler into the stands.

Stop being an Eeyore, Travis. That play was North Texas greatness, not UL-Pick 'Em sorriness.

Let's look at the play.

1. Good play call. It shows a great deal of trust in Vizza to get the job done. Alot of bad things can happen in the end zone, penalty for safety, takle for safety, fumble for TD, etc etc...That quick out SHOULD give us a little breathing room with the ball at about the five yard line.

2. Good blocking by the line to keep the heat off of Vizza.

3. Fitz makes a solid catch and I would call it 50/50. Half of a good play by Fitz to slip the tackle and half of bad technique by the DB.

4. Stick makes a great block and Fitz does a great job in following it to break out.

If any of these things doesn't happen, then the play breaks down so there is plenty of praise to go around.

It means that no matter what UT does the message board blows up. I have a buddy that is on the orangebloods site (so this is hear say) but he said after the national title game that some people were complaining. They should have won by more and found more thing wrongs with the game. They just won the national title that is what im talking about. We won our first game of the season. Instead of calling for the DC head lets be happy with the win. We get one in the W column. This in my opinion should have been our 3 win. You are also right. The reason my name is Vizza4QB on this board is because my original reason for getting on this board was to see many of thes poeple on here tell us how GREAT Meager so i just picked a name. I think Vizza is going to be a good QB here at UNT. I hope the kid does great things i think he can take us to OU or Texas and play well. He is that kind of kid from what i am told. Also if you look at the number of post i have on this board you will see that I am new to posting on UNT sports.

Well, I'm glad to see new fans and I'm in no way trying to "run" you off with negativity. I apologize for "snapping" on you. I'm a Vizza fan, so you picked a good name. :D

Word of advice, if you want to really pee pee in our cheerios, tell us or imply in some way that we are in no way better than XXXXX University (located anywhere Texas). :D

Why can't some people just accept that this was a great call that went 99 yards for a TD. On any scoring play, especially a long one, someone on the defense has to make some kind of mistake ie: miss a tackle, be out of position, etc. That in no way diminishes the accomplishment.
