Third down in the red zone seems like a GREAT time for the cheerleaders to start a fan chant!

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Wrong!

First and goal inside the ten seems like a GREAT time to put Scrappy on the video board with the caption "MAKE.. SOME.. NOISE!"

BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Wrong!

We shoudl never, NEVER be trying to make noise when our OFFENSE is on the field. Somebody needs to give the cheerleaders and the scoreboard operator a lesson in noise management.

How about on 3rd downs when the cheerleaders are "two-tall" blocking the view of the field for those in the seats with a lower vantage point of the action on the field. I had to watch the play from the scoreboard to see what was going on. <_<

Funny... I was about to say this same thing. That is the only thing that bothers me. Because for the most part, no one participates when the cheer squad tries the "D D D Defense" or the "First and Ten do it again" cheers. However, when they stack up like that, it blocks my perfectly (is there really a perfect view at Fouts?) good view of the play that is going on...

All in all.. had a great time. And those fireworks weren't shaming me on the way out to the parking lot after the game. After two years, it finally felt ok to have them booming overhead.

Did you hear Dodge's comment last night on the postgame show about the fireworks from the previous game. He said something about thinking "they're bombing us" after losing that one (the fireworks were begin set off from the roof of the athletics buildings).

Sounded pretty funny (in light of a win this time!) to hear him say that.

I only wish the Athletic department would get with the cheerleaders coach and the band director to make the proper adjustments when to make noise and when not to.

Also Athletic department should have written instructions of desired fan educate and why printed in the guide, also hand out a Cheering does and don'ts flier to the fans as they enter the stadium. Plus makes some graphics for the jumbo-tron the like at the Maverick games to pump up the the noise and in our case maybe a finger over the lips with a SSSSSsssss when we need to be quiet.

I must say this is not a problem that is soley with our fanbase. I went to the USC game yesterday afternoon and the fans were cheering like crazy when the Trojans were at the 10 yard line trying to go up two scores. The QB ended up taking a time out, and I just shook my head in disbelief.
