2 ints for TD, Held the opponent to 21 points (the middle 7 of that by the defense 2nd team).

This was a sweet defensive effort and a great win.

This was spectacular, and a really comprehensive defensive performance. I'm incredibly proud of our team and most importantly tonight, the defense. Fire Mendoza? If his guys keep playing like this, we may be struggling to keep someone else from HIRING him. I don't know what he did between tonight and last Saturday, but I want more of it. Just about everyone looked good tonight, and I got a feeling this could be the kind of play we'll see from Dodge's players.

I still don't like Coach Weatherbie.

I thought the defense looked remarkably better than last week. I hope they can keep improving. If so, we could win a few more before this season is done.

I think we might be able to win 4 or 5 this season after watching our performance tonight.

While I'm as happy as everyone else about the Win let's not act like this game shows everything is going to be OK on the Defense. If, as many said, the first 5 games were not enough time to make a decision on the fate of Mendoza then one good game is not enough to stop worrying. I hope we continue to progress and have a strong showing against Troy.

Great win for all of North Texas!

Congratulations to Coach Dodge and his staff. They did a remarkable job. I really like what they are doing with these players. It is totally about 'team' and not about 'me'. They all play for one another, not for themselves. Obviously, they are good X's and O's coaches in my book, however, they do a lot more with these kids than that. These kids are learning how to be a family. They are learning values. Did everyone see the enthusiasm on the sidelines last night from the 2nd and 3rd stringers and the redshirts? They were encouraging their teammates all game long. The attitude on the sidelines is totally different. You have to credit that to the coaches, and that comes from the top, all the way down.

There are a lot of positives with Coach Dodge and his staff. The direction this program is going is visibly positive.
