About 45 minutes before the game a big storm came over the stadium....and I'm not sure how many people left, but it surely kept them away. If there were 3,000 people at the game it would surprize me..... Week 6 upcoming and only our second home game! It will be good to be at Fouts. Hope everyone comes out to support the Mean Green....and for those who loved the Fouts restrooms before the remodel this year. They were still better than those on our side of the stadium at La-La. In fact, I think they bought our old fixtures. What a mess.....And, speaking of a mess. They had a disc jockey on the field and he played more than the La-La band did. In fact, some of us believe the band didn't play except at half-time and after the game......La-La is another of those cities you really should consider traveling to in the future. Many parents at this one.....Cary and Brad got a little carried away watching a La-La Fan dancing. Bro Fincher and myself helped bring them back to reality.....Best Stop: Those world famous meat pies at the home of Northwestern State University! You know the City..... Pleasure to meet Bill and his wife from Victoria. They come to every Mean Green game. Wow, what great fans......Big win for the Coach of La-La. It was treated almost like Kansas State when they beat us there to end their skid years ago. Lord, I thought they qualified for the New Orleans Bowl..... Hope Super-J is ok. It looked more like an ankle than a hamstring. And, Micah is a tough one! He is destined for some good years at UNT....Back to the battle field against Monroe next Saturday at Fouts. Please do your best to come out to Fouts! This has been a wild College football season across the Country already this season. I believe it turns around with a BIG WIN at Fouts next week! Come by and say hello at the Mean Green March two hours before kick-off! Until then, "Forever Green"!

Glad you had a nice trip. As for the attendance, I don't think "that many" left when it rained. I saw a few taking off; but not that many. I was thinking about 5000 myself for in stadium attendance (paper reported about 9K; but I'd bet that was tickets sold). Could have been more, could have been less. Hard to see with the 5 people standing in front of me! :) I don't know how many stayed home to watch the LSU/Florida game, or if they have just tired of this season already. Either way, I hate to see so few people out there supporting the team. Win or lose those young men deserve better. At least those who went seemed to have stayed the entire game. Definitely an entertaining game. Cajuns had a few breakaway runs that definitely padded the 300 yds rushing. I cringe everytime we try to throw the ball! On the other hand, Vizza looked VERY good throwing the ball; especially when given time. Good touch on the mid-to-deep balls too. Hope you had a chance to visit some of the tailgating.

Cheers, and good luck the rest of the season.
