I just thought this might be slightly amusing.

Do our coaches even see what Doc and others are seeing?

BUT WE DON'T HELP OURSELVES WITH AN OFFENSE THAT REFUSES TO CAPITALIZE ON A DEFENSE THAT FINALLY SHOWED UP AND ACTUALLY MADE SOME INSPIRED STOPS.

ARIZONA STATE IS VERY BEATABLE, THEY PLAYED LIKE THEY WERE EITHER LOOKING PAST US OR DIDN'T WANT TO WIN.

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF OUR DEFENSE, BOTH TEAMS HAD THE INTENSITY LEVEL OF A SCRIMMAGE FOR MOST OF THE GAME.

HARBAUGH'S PLAYCALLING AND OFFENSIVE PLAN (APPARENTLY) WERE REMINISCENT OF WALT HARRIS- MISSING ONLY A QUICK KICK.

APPARENTLY HE WAS COMMITTED TO RUNNING THE BALL BETWEEN THE TACKLES.

BRADFORD ACTUALLY LOOKED READY TO PLAY, BUT HE KEPT SHUTTLING HIM OUT-

MOORE IS USELESS OUT THERE, AND SHERMAN IS STILL DOGGING IT WHEN HE'S NOT THE PRIMARY. OSTRANDER- WELL- PRITCHARD MUST BE REALLY BAD IF YOU STAY WITH OSTRANDER THE WAY WE ARE. OUR O-LINE GAVE OSTRANDER SOME DECENT PASS PRO, BUT WAS INCONSISTENT, AND OSTRANDER STARTED GETTING HAMMERED. THEY COULDN'T RUN THE BALL INSIDE AT ALL, YET HARBAUGH INSISTED ON WASTING SERIES TRYING. HOW MANY 3 & OUTS CAN YOU HAVE UNTIL YOUR DEFENSE CAVES? AND DON'T TELL ME THEY CAN'T GET OPEN, THEY DID AGAINST OREGON WHICH HAD MUCH BETTER SPEED...

OUR SPECIAL TEAMS, OTHER THAN THE LS AND PUNTER: UNBELIEVABLY ABYSMAL. GIVING UP WAY TOO MANY YARDS ON COVERAGES, AND OBVIOUSLY DON'T BELIEVE THEY'LL BREAK A RETURN, AND ARE DOGGING IT.

OUR DEFENSE? PLAYED WELL ENOUGH TO KEEP US IN IT FOR A LONG TIME, SNYDER HAD A GREAT GAME, MCNALLY A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT, HE PLAYED LIKE HE WAS AFRAID OF #26 ALL NIGHT, DIDN'T COMMIT TO TACKLING, AND MISSED HUGE NUMBERS OF TACKLES. GREAT IMPROVEMENT IN #14- HE WAS IN POSITION ALL NIGHT. TACKLING IN GENERAL STILL A HUGE PROBLEM.

THE DOC GOT UP AND LEFT THE GAME IN DISGUST WHEN HARBAUGH WENT FOR "THE" FIELD GOAL. WE ALL KNOW WHICH ONE. IT WAS EVERY BIT AS GUTLESS AND DUMB AS ANYTHING HARRIS DID LAST YEAR.

SOMETIMES AN ENTIRE COACHING STAFF CAN HAVE A RELAPSE, YOU SAW IT LAST NIGHT STARTING AT THE TOP.

THEY HAVE TO TIGHTEN DOWN THE SPECIAL TEAMS COVERAGES AND INSPIRE THE RETURNS- FIELD POSITION IS KILLING US.

TAKE WHAT THE OTHER TEAM IS GIVING YOU, LAST NIGHT WE WERE ACTUALLY RUNNING TO THE PERIMETER PRETTY WELL, BUT INSIDE WAS SHUT DOWN EARLY AND OFTEN.

WHEN YOU'RE DOWN 24 IN THE 4TH, AND INSIDE THE OTHER TEAM'S TERRITORY, IT'S 4 DOWN TERRITORY, WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOSE WHEN YOUR OFFENSE IS ALREADY GOING 3& OUT EVERY, OR EVERY OTHER SERIES.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE TIGHT ENDS? JUST WHAT WAS THE OFFENSIVE GAME PLAN LAST NIGHT?

WHY CAN'T WE AT LEAST TACKLE OR IMPROVE IN TACKLING FROM WEEK TO WEEK?

DOC IS PISSED OFF.”

I missed the game but this post says it all. Maybe Harbaugh will read it too? Sounds like

some tunnel vision is going on where we're forcing plays that have no chance of success but

we continue trying them anyway. Tough to know for sure. Can others give us their take on the play-calling as well?

OK, I'll give you my take on the playvcalling

It was pathetic. Nor was I impressed in the least with the sets. We were plenty disorganized out there. On many occasions guys didn't even know where they were supposed to be.

that is pretty funny. from goat to hero in a week. such is the nature of a head coach position.

I've always heard head coaches and quarterbacks get too much blame and too much credit; I certainly have to think they won last night as a team and lost the week before as a team.
