I think we lose every game from here on out until we dump this soft read defense and start playing the brand of defense North Texas has always taken pride in. Booger didn't come off the pile after a great tackle in the opponent's backfield, shaking his head "no" at the opposing bench after holding ground and reading the play...it was after a stunt or a blitz or both. We attacked man!

North Texas fans begin praying in their designated tailgate area upon arrival in Lafayette, as they all begin realizing that LaLa has played respectable Troy and ranked South Carolina close, and has a running game that matches up well against the NT defense. However, LaLa can't cover NT, which completes passes as often as any NT QB/receiver combination can find each other, scoring last on a Vizza to Meager flea flicker. NT is up late 4th quarter 41 to 35, having missed a 2 pt conversion attempt. LaLa, which already has 350 yards combined rushing, mostly behind lead blocking by the previously reported "injured" tackle, drives the length of the field to tie at 41-41 with less than a minute left. The tackle suddenly remembers he's injured, misses his blocking assignment, and A.J. Penson blocks the attempted extra point kick, scoops up the ball, returning it the length of the field for a 2 point touchdown as time expires. North Texas takes its first win of the year 43-41. Forgetting promises of repentance in the tailgate/revival tent earlier, NT fans pool their resources, rent hotel space, and party as late as Louisiana liquor stores stay open.

ULL - 105

NT - 77

Meager will throw for 11 touchdowns, 1300 Yards but will throw 3 interceptions and will be blamed for the loss.

I agree with your analysis, but think that Meager will throw 8 interceptions, all in the 4th quarter

NT 44

ULL 35

Ya can't expect Moreland to make all of his PAT's after missing those chip shots, and our D is still a bit on the porous side. I also think that one or two of our young receivers get in on the action in a big way today, and Jamario goes over a hundred with a couple of big runs.

Game score prediction:

North Texas 56

ULaLa 45

Additional predictions:

500+ yards passing for NT

200+ yards russhing for NT

Final prediction:

Audio to accompany the video on the ESPN game plan showing, unlike the prefered "premium" MeanGreenSports feed. I didn't realize it until two weeks ago, but "premium" is Latin for crappy video with no sound.

GO MEAN GREEN!

NT down at half by a couple, gives up a long run to start the second half, but come back to score and change momentum. NT wins late by 5.
